SKI TOURS ON GREBENZEN

A Highlight Beyond the Slopes

Ski touring is a trend that is becoming increasingly popular, even on Grebenzen. However, it should be noted that using the ski slopes for touring is prohibited (exception: descent after the tour). Uphill skiing is exclusively allowed on the two main routes, Schönanger Ski Route 1 and the Family Descent – Pfaffentritt Ski Route 3 (see trail map). The chairlift tracks numbered 6a, 6b, and 6c are also closed to ski tourers.

For ski route 1, special caution is required in some sections, as it intersects/shares a narrow passage with a ski slope. The designated corridor must be strictly adhered to for everyone's safety.

Every Friday and during full moon, we offer guided tours for ski tourers up to Grebenzen.

Night Tours

Every Friday from 4:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Day or season tickets must be purchased at the lift cash desk before the tour and will be checked—except for valid Grebenzen card, Styria Joker, or Mur/Mürz ski pass. The purchased day or season ticket must be carried while ski touring. Anyone using the ski touring routes without paying the fee will be legally prosecuted with a restraining order and must bear the associated costs estimated at €900. The ski touring routes are not checked daily for safety; they have the quality of so-called ski routes.

Uphill skiing is exclusively possible on Schönanger Ski Route 1 and the Family Descent – Pfaffentritt Ski Route 3. The chairlift tracks numbered 6a, 6b, and 6c are closed to ski tourers.

Current notice:

Carrying dogs (even on a leash) is now PROHIBITED! Due to some incidents and indiscipline, we are forced to take this step. Otherwise, ski tourers on Grebenzen would be generally endangered. Thank you for your understanding.

Due to the current snow conditions:

Due to the current snow conditions, the tour routes in the lower area of the Grebenzen are not accessible. But don't worry! With a valid tour ticket, you can use the gondola lift and start your adventure in the upper area of the ski resort. Enjoy the tour and stay safe!
