Family highlights and summer activities
Families love the GrebenzenHöhen! Your Car parking is free at the valley station. Then it's off with the stunningly beautiful panoramic cable car up to 1,654 m – for Children up to 2 years ride for free! At the top, you'll have fantastic views all the way to the Tauern mountains, and you can explore the new Kraxlland conquer it, ride the marble run play and take cool family photos at the at one of the photo points spots. Maybe you'll even climb one of the three summits? As a reward, head to one of the cozy huts with a sun terrace.

Escape to Nature – Grebi’s Puzzle Trail
The cheerful snowman Grebi, the mascot of the GrebenzenHöhen, urgently needs your children's help! A tricky puzzle needs to be solved — and soon, because Grebi won’t last long in the summer temperatures.
The start and finish are at the valley station. Start here two routes, one more challenging leading all the way to the summit of the GrebenzenHöhe and one shorter, flatter onethat even small children can easily manage.
If you’ve solved the puzzle and learned a few things along the way about the Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen Nature Park along the way? Then your well-earned reward awaits you at the Grebenzenhaus Reward!
New from July 27, 2025: Kraxlland with marble run at the Grebenzenhaus
A motor skills course, as the experts call it – we call it Kraxlland! Here, it’s all about climbing, balancing, and swinging, and since the equipment is located on a slope, we’ve added a marble run fun twist. Kraxlland is located near the Grebenzenhaus. There you can get the marbles for the marble run.


New from July 27, 2025: Jumporama at the valley station and at the Grebenzenhaus
Jump, bounce, and have a blast – the Jumporama is here! Starting summer 2025 at the panoramic cable car parking lot greben10 in St. Lambrecht and at the Grebenzenhaus. And no, these are not ordinary playgrounds. Here, it's all about jumping, bouncing, and balancing until your laughing muscles give out. Can you make it across the Balance Balls, without tipping over? And who jumps the highest? Whether before or after your mountain tour – Jumporama is the perfect spot for all kids with ants in their pants.
The most popular family hike
Summit joy from/to Grebenzenhaus
Ride the panoramic cable car to the mountain station, then hike up to the summit of GrebenzenHöhe and back to the mountain station. Along the way, you can solve Grebi’s puzzle “Escape to Nature”!
Ascent time: approx. 1 hour
Start at 1,654 m
Highest point: GrebenzenHöhe at 1,870 m


Strolling with a stroller
You ride comfortably up to 1,654 m with the panoramic cable car. The ride takes just eight minutes! Simply roll the stroller right into the gondola.
With a stroller, you can walk to the Grebenzenhaus and to all the photo points:

Forest adventure day with forest educator Mercedes
On selected dates, Mercedes will take up to five young mountain explorers out into nature! All around the Grebenzenhaus you’ll explore this especially beautiful spot in the Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen Nature Park, and at the end, you’ll bake at our new campfire spot stick bread.
